Why a summer in the city camp is good for any family
Summer in the City Activities camps are a great option for meeting your childcare needs for a multitude of reasons, including being THE most cost effective and flexible camp for working parents. We take NO upfront fees which means there are also NO cancellation fees if you do not take up your place. What’s more, children also stand to gain a whole host of long-term benefits that will help them in the future.
SELF ESTEEM AND CONFIDENCE
SITC camps offer children the opportunity to try new sports and activities in a fun and relaxed environment. We always encourage our campers to try new things as they might just surprise themselves and find out about skills they never knew they had. It will help campers to become more confident in dealing with new situations, they will be less likely to fear change. Our activity camps give children the opportunity to build their confidence.
SOCIAL SKILLS
Attendance at one of our SITC camps often help to forge long-lasting friendships with campers they may know from school OR a totally different set of people to their usual school friends. Being able to mix with people from all different backgrounds and cultures is a VALUABLE life skill that is easier instilled when you are young.
We have campers that can’t wait to jump through the door but we also have campers that are immensely shy and as parents you may be reluctant to send them to camp. But let us tell you we have seen campers that are so nervous on their first day become the most confident campers and have an absolutely fantastic time with us.
NEW ACTIVITIES
SITC activities camps offer our campers the opportunity to try a whole host of sports and activities ranging from football, basketball, swimming to drama, arts and crafts and media.
ACTIVITIES and EXERCISE
There is nothing that beats being out in the sun and having fun with the friends that you have made at camp. We believe that campers should be out as much as possible even if it is a little cold! We wrap up and warm up and run around to enjoy the fresh air. Children nowadays spend a lot of time in doors with ipads, play stations, iphones and laptops. These are not allowed at SITC camps….. why? Well we want our campers to PLAY, SOCIALISE, MAKE FRIENDS, BE HEALTHY rather than sit in front of a screen all day (they will have enough of doing that when they are older). Being out and about and active for longer periods of time can help with long-term mental and physical health.
