Summer in the City 2017 Weeks 1 and 2
Summer 2017 has kicked off to a flying start. We have been delighted to see both old and new campers run through our doors once again.
This summer we have welcomed Sunny the mascot to the Summer in the City family. We have also welcomed a new line-up of talented, energetic and good-looking champions :-)! Our champions program is proving very popular this summer and we are delighted that so many of our older campers have expressed an interest in coaching and opted to learn from the best coaches in Glasgow. Our fabulous staff have once again come to join the party, putting on fun sessions and providing top quality coaching.
As some of our campers are very interested in arts and crafts and being creative, we decided to come up with something a little different in 2017. We have brought SITC Box Park to life! Each week campers are tasked with decorating their pop-up dens with their own designs, inspired by our Friday themes. This week our dens are displaying Mickey Mouse, Ariel, Beauty and the Beast and many other Disney fan favourites. The best den is awarded a prize at the end of the week.
We have also introduced the SITC Selfie Frame to capture some of the best moments at camp. Look out for some of our selfies this summer.
We have had the pleasure of welcoming external drama teachers and international hockey athletes during our first two weeks of camp. For some it was their first time playing the sport, it was so good to see so much natural talent on show and campers giving it a go!
