Summer in the City International, hosted at Caledonian University, Glasgow, will offer your child a unique summer school experience. The campus, situated in the heart of Glasgow, boasts some of the best university facilities available in the West of Scotland. The campus offers secure modern accommodation, restaurants, cafés, library, computer labs, on-site banking facilities, gym halls, social spaces and excellent sports facilities.
International summer school students will spend 12 hours per week in a classroom environment. This is combined with up to 20 hours per week of practical learning at our multi-sport and activities camp, located at one of Glasgow’s top independent schools. The students’ learning experience will be enhanced at our camp as they will continue to utilise what they have been taught in the classroom amongst their peers and be immersed in the English language.
As an organisation we are committed to ensuring that the student receives the best possible experience, whether it be through the pursuit of language, sport or fun activities. As an organisation we also recognise the importance of child development through fun activities and it is our aim to ensure that the student has a happy and memorable experience.
Students will visit a variety of breath-taking attractions in Scotland and The Highlands, including places such as the capital city of Edinburgh, the historic town St Andrews, the home of golf, Turnberry, Gleneagles and the beautiful shores of Loch Lomond. They will also experience the sights and sounds of Glasgow, a dynamic and vibrant city.
